Emerson is already a known presence at the ZNA, last edition he was in charge of the slackline, always available with a ready smile and great balance. He’s part of the Western Riders and Highlife, both groups highly committed to the activity.
Emerson was introduced to slackline in 2012 through his friends and adopted it immediately as a hobby, but not for long...Slowly, it started being an obsession, what was a hobby became a passion and two years later he decided to dedicate his life to the art of balance, what made him move to Europe in 2015 to continue the journey in the slackline world, seeking specially for the most challenging discipline in this sport.
The Highline: Walking on a 2.5cm webbing, hundreds of meters above the ground can be very scary, resulting in a mind struggling process where you have to overcome all the fears of being so high, keeping all your concentration and focus in what you’re doing at that moment and let the body and mind relax, to be able to start practicing this modality. All that process was mind blowing for him and highline is till now for what he lives for. Emerson has been practicing all modalities of this sport along the years, travelling around the world doing and sharing his passion wherever he is. Some of his biggest achievements so far are the Brazilian/South American Highline Record (1km highline walked continuously without falling) and the highline above the huge waves in Nazaré. Portugal, 2018.
