Will we be dancing together this summer?
Today is International Dance Day, a global celebration of dance, created by the Dance Committee of the International Theatre Institute, the main partner for the performing arts of UNESCO and even though it was originally created to celebrate the birth of Jean-Georges Noverre, the creator of modern ballet, we feel nowadays it is much more than that. For us it’s a day in which we are reminded how much we love this physical expression of our body, and how important it is for our lives.
Specially when we are allowed to share this beautiful expression with our community and it doesn’t mind if it’s in a professional setting or in a dancefloor full of psychedelic dancing enthusiasts which makes our celebrations so unique and energetic.
After so many months of not being able to experience dancing as we love, we chose to pay our tribute to this day with all our hearts and beliefs that we will be able to do that again really soon!!!
As we told you before, we have been in a weekly base in touch with the task force that the festival sector created to coordinate with the government the possible realisation of our dancing dreams for 2021.
At this point we can tell you that there has been some important developments and that there is still faith among us. And even though the developments have been quite positive we are now reaching the end of our waiting window. Crossing this period would mean to risk the quality of the festival we all deserve to have.
So this means we are going to state our final and official decision regarding the summer of 2021 until the end of the next week (07th of May).
In the meantime let’s all dance like there is no tomorrow and project all the good energy the world needs in order to heal from this crazy situation.
We share ZNA
